Sometimes, the so-called happiness we've been so fervently chasing after is the exact killjoy - you're bestowed a moment so precious and brimming with positivity, to be then taken away from you forever. As you lay silent, body spread across the sheets, you realise those globules of memory will then forever comfort and haunt you.
This state of purgatory, maybe that's the true version of living hell.
